Vikram (2022) :

Vikram is an Indian action thriller film which is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is the 4th film of lokesh kanagaraj with a reported budget of 150 crores. When the theatres were empty due to COVID-19 restrictions and some vague film releases, Vikram managed to pull the crowd with its lavish cinematic experience. 

Even though the film received mixed to negative reviews from the critics due to lack of logical and bad editing mistakes, It managed to get liked by audiences with its stellar star cast including VJS(Vijay Sethupathy), FaFa (Fahad faasil) and Suriya in pivotal roles.

The cinematography and the BGM by Girish Gangatharan and Anirundh Ravichandhar respectively is truly amazing and one of the most celebrated things in the film. Vikram ran successfully for more than 50 days and is still ruling the box offices even though it is available on the VOD (video-on-demand) platforms.

What made the Movie Vikram Unique ?

From some strong crowd pleasing scenes to Tribute elements for Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan, there is much to discuss on this topic. Kamal’s movie after a long break, Agent Tina’s Unexpected transformation, Suriya’s terrific villainous cameo appearance, Spin-offs from Lokesh Cinematic Universe and the list goes on.

The plot follows Vikram, A former black ops agent who acts a masked vigilante to avenge the death of his son, he can go any extreme just to avenge the bad guys who are responsible for the death of his son.

In this film Kamal plays the Badass Grandpa role which made the crowd scream till their throat hurts. It is a 2010 action comedy thriller film, based on comics of the same name. With a huge star cast like Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John malkovich and others. The Extraordinary cinematography, with breathtaking WOW stunt sequences and some quirky Jokes, this film is worth watching one. 

Solid performances by the cast and engaging screenplay are supporting pillars. This film will feel like how ‘Amar’ (Fahadh Faasil in Vikram) and his boys will look like after 20 years. And as well as this film's plot of black ops team also closely related to Vikram.

Wrath of a man (2021) :

The second film in this list is none other than, Wrath of a man.

Starring the Action film superstar Jason Statham in the lead role, This film's plot has close relation to our Vikram, 

The plot follows The Hero (Jason Statham), a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week, The Employer and colleagues of the hero have some scepticism about his work excellence. What hero hides from them, what is the true identity and past of the hero forms the crux.

It's an Action thriller film released in 2021 & an official remake of 2004 French film ‘Le convoyeur’. With its solid premise and perfect making, this film provides an out and out action treat from the start to end of the film.Scott Eastwood as a hatred villain will stay and haunt inside your mind for long. This film's plot also shares similarity to Vikram, where Kamal wants to avenge his son’s death, here Jason staham will do the same.

Taken (2008) :

The Third on this list is the film which created a cult following for its action, ‘Taken’. Starring Liam Neeson, an actor who fills your mind when you hear the word ‘Action’, That long list of his action films will go.

The plot starts when his estranged daughter has been kidnapped while on a trip to Paris by the unknown threats, A retired CIA agent Liam Neeson travels across Europe and relies on his old skills to save his daughter. What are hurdles waiting for him on his way forms the crux.

With some mind-bending stunt choreography and well written dialogues, this film serves what an ardent action thriller fans will crave for. The solid writing and an intriguing screenplay will hold your attention till the end of the film. You can feel ‘vikram’s’ everything on ‘Taken’ as you expected.

Nobody (2021) :

The Final film on this list, and a best movie to say ‘A movie similar to ‘Vikram’. Starring ‘Breaking Bad’ fame Bob Odenkirk and with the writer of the most celebrated action thriller ‘John Wick’, This film is full meals for the fans of action thrillers.

The Story begins when his house gets burgled by two petty thieves and his son is badly beaten by those thieves, A docile family man protagonist slowly reveals his true character to the city, which coincidentally, leads him into a bloody war with a Russian crime boss. The devastating path the hero travels forms the crux of Nobody.

This Action crime thriller film’s engaging narration and well made action sequences are its positive sides. With Bob’s performance and his swag adds elevation to plot, we’ll become fans for him. With the crispy writing from the writer of ‘John wick’, It has all elements which Vikram had, like, 

• Old protagonist hiding his past
• Surprise character reveal like ‘Agent Tina’
• Stunning and gunning action sequences 
• And lot & lot of crowd pleaser scenes

Everything i mentioned above you enjoyed in vikram, served hot in this film too.
